chance to make an important addition to your collection!
“Terrible Tantrum!”--- One of the funniest gags that Barks ever
dreamed up was in WDC #124. Donald borrowed $4 from Scrooge
but he could only scrounge up $3.99 to pay Scrooge back. He was
hopeful that his uncle wouldn't notice that he was "A Penny Short!"
But Scrooge noticed the missing penny immediately and flew into
a rage! (See the 3rd scan) This painting transports that scene into
Scrooge's office. And there we see another great gag----at the left
side, a chair buriedin money so deep that it's obvious that nobody's
sat on it in years!
Note: When I photographed this painting, I caught too much
vertical shadow on the right side (from the sunlight). That shadow
in NOT on the actual painting. Sorry about that!
Art: Carl Barks
Composition: Jeff Cain

up in the marketplace anymore. Many top-level Barks collectors are now

ofthe paintings that Carl Barks did. And they feature scenes which have
never been seen before! A unique treasure for any Barks collection!
TheCBR Studiowas founded in 2011 (CBR = Carl Barks Remembered)
to produce original, one-of-a-kind paintings in the artistic style of
Carl Barks (1901 – 2000). They are NOT reproductions, nor prints, but
individual compositions done in the same manner as Carl's paintings
from 1971 to 1975. They have been collected by Barks fans around the
world. Many of them can be seen on Pinterest web pages and Google
Images because they are indistinguishable from actual Barks paintings!
About me:I got my first Barks comic in early 1950 (4C #275 Ancient
Persia) ---- so I've now been collecting Barks for 72 years!Over the years
I've owned 20 of Carl's duck paintings (1971 – 1975), including 5 of his
first 12 paintings from 1971. I contributed to the assembly of theFine
Art of DDbook (1981). And now I enjoy the excitement of emulating the
wonderful Barks style of artwork which are displayed in collections all
