Honored Artist of the RSFSR (1974), People's Artist of the RSFSR (1985), Laureate of the Lenin Komsomol Prize (1970). Palekh organization of the Union of artists of the RSFSR. Since 1989, he worked in the creative and production organization of the Union of Artists of the RSFSR "Partnership Palekh"
In 1956-1961 he studied at the Palekh Art College. Teachers - M.I.Shemarov, D.N. Butorin, B.M. Nemtinov. In 1961-1989 he worked at the Palekh art-production workshops. In 1970, he was a delegate to the XVI Congress of the Komsomol, was elected a member of the Komsomol Central Committee. In 1978-1986 he was chairman of the board of the Palekh organization of the Union of Artists of the RSFSR. Since 1989, he worked in the creative and production organization of the Union of Artists of the RSFSR "Partnership Palekh".The works of A.D. Kochupalov are stored in museums: GMPI, State Russian Museum, Ivanovo Okhm Museum, All-Russian Museum of A.
