Waterloo Boy Sign Authentic Vintage Salesman Sample Ai13 FACTORY PROTOTYPE SIGN :
$749995.95

This authentic Waterloo Boy sign is a rare find for any collector. With its striking green and red color combination, this original what is believed by the seller to be a salesman sample is a true gem from the agricultural era. The sign is possibly a factory prototype and is an excellent addition to any collection of merchandise and memorabilia. Its unknown age only adds to its value as a collectible item. Don't miss out on this opportunity to own a piece of history. Only sell within the lower 48 states. No returns for any reason. Smoke free and pet free home. Any questions send a message, thank you. I will over the coming months show the selling points of this sign being an extremely rare sign connected to Waterloo Gasoline Engine Company before being bought out by John Deere. The first selling point is nobody in the world would've ever put the detail into a Waterloo Boy Tractor sign as this sign has after the company was sold. The details in this sign was done on the highest level meaning the possible company SHONK WORKS may of created this sign. Shonk Works created signs for the Waterloo Gasoline Engine Company prior to this sign, my belief is SHONK WORKS seen a massive future in the Waterloo Gasoline Engine Company and developed this sign to show the up and coming company a gorgeous sign that could be giving out to buyers of Waterloo Boy Tractors or was produced exclusively for the owner of Waterloo Gasoline Engine Company, than all of sudden JOHN DEERE comes in and buys out Waterloo Gasoline Engine Company. Making this particular sign a one of a kind with the reproductions of similar signs created based upon this authentic sign. Second, the dimensions of this sign are 11 13/16 inches by 23 13/16 inches very close to Shonk Works of 11 14/16 inches by 23 14/16 inches. Third, the three nail holes would've never went into a reproduction sign only the original would have three locations to hang such a sign. The only nail holes that would've ever went into a reproduction would of been in the upper left and upper right. Fourth, the red paint is nearly identical to the red paint used on earlier Shonk Works signs, a paint analysis could easily be done to see if both reds came from the same factory during the same period of time between the years of 1914 and 1918. Fifth, the collectors of signs believe that the art industry has entered the sign market, that is false, the collectors of oil paintings have never had a reason to enter the sign market till now, this particular sign has history, has beauty, has rarity, has the perfect look and most importantly SUBJECT MATTER. The collectors of oil paintings will eventually collect vintage signs as long as they have rarity as this sign has, collectors of oil paintings won't collect because of size, weight, age, porcelain, if a magnet sticks to a sign or to see who can own the most signs, they will collect based upon proof such as this sign, the proof that the first layer of paint front and back was a cream white, than followed by a green on the front, than followed by a red on front than finally followed by a black paint. Oil painting collectors will collect this particular sign because they will see the developer of this sign put the same amount of work into this sign as the Mona Lisa. This sign in this sale I believe will become the first sign to sell for over ten million dollars based upon the one fact: SUBJECT MATTER, nothing makes a person more youthful than appreciating this Waterloo Boy Tractor sign. As I place more and more details of this sign on I will at the same time write a book on this sign to give it more history so the future buyer might have a chance to sell this one of a kind sign not only for ten million but possibly twenty million. The work seen in this sign matches the work Leonardo da Vinci placed into his paintings. Sixth, as the collectors of signs begin to scour the world looking for similar signs as this one, yes, similar signs in the hundreds will be found but all of them will be reproductions created from this original, as each reproduction is found the dollar amount of this sign will increase as I have found 7 reproductions already that were produced after this sign. The buyer of this sign will be giving all the history of this particular sign. The buyer will be able to produce a "pedigree" or "provenance" of this sign. Seventh, Richmond sales August 27, 2022 sold a gasoline sign for $1.5 million. Richmond sales February 17, 2023 sold an orange crush sign for $190,000.00 these sale prices are happening but to have a sign appeal to an art collector takes all the qualities of this Waterloo Boy Tractor Used On This Farm sign and I feel this agricultural sign with the history of John Deere factored into the equation can easily bring any amount that an sale could bring, I feel the $750,000.00 is still under valuing this sign. Eighth, has every sign that Dan Matthews authenticated in his career been a sign that falls in during or before the time period in which the sign represents? It is unknown by me, I highly doubt that every sign must meet the criteria of being manufactured during the time that the sign represents. Ninth, a reproduction 99 times out of 100 would've had rounded corners. Tenth, I found a sign that was sold on June 21, 2023, I placed a photo of that sign as my 24th photo of this listing. Unfortunately there were no photos showing the back of the sign. The sign I have for sale has an amazing beautiful back, the reason for this particular sign potentially bringing millions in the future is not the front but the back, the back is the art, the back is the value, the back shows the true authenticity of this sign along with the factory created middle nail hole. Eleventh, I'm extremely excited to write that I've had this gorgeous sign hung on the wall for 3 weeks now showing the backside of the sign and surprisingly some folks have thought the backside was an original painting because of the uniqueness of this sign, wow, I'm just thrilled to point out to them that this is a vintage metal sign not wood or not canvas, just amazing that some folks believe that this Waterloo Boy is not authentic, I'm extremely excited to know that no millionaire ought to let someone that is not a full pledged sign collector own such a unique and wonderful sign, for the millionaires that collect signs failure to buy this sign from me, I'm the owner of the greatest vintage metal sign ever created, better than any Pegasus, Goodyear, Coca-Cola or any sign in existence. Life is good.
