Vintage Tommy Mowhawk light up and mechanical sign - Mowhawk Rugs advertisement. Tommy Mowhawk was designed by Disney, i believe, sometime in the 1950s. This sign is super rare, i have only ever seen one other online at sale that was faded, his head had been reattached and he did not light up, nor did the mechanics work, sold for $4000. ( you can look it up, it sold on January 22, 2023 on livesaleeers.com) This Tommy Mowhawk lights up, bangs on his drum and has all original workings, including the light buld as far as i know. You can find a glimpse of Tommy on Forest Gump in a street store window scene. I've had Tommy for years, and i love that movie, but just this past year, did i catch him in the movie! super exciting!

When i originally found him, he was missing his arms and, by the grace of God, found them years later in an old chest of drawers.

His head did unfortunately get knocked off in our recent move, it was pretty devastating but he looks as good as ever in my opinion. I have loved this piece of memorabilia since my early 20s, so i hope whoever purchases it will love it just as much.
