This is a magnificent pair of french original 19 century orientalism bronzes by famous listed artist, Marcel Debut 1865-1933. One of these bronzes is listed in the 19 century bronzes showing the Arab water carrier which was the first prize winner in Rome. Both pieces are fully signed and hallmarked. This pair has a magnificent subject, detail, design, and patina. The water carrier measures approx. 12.4" tall, 5" front, and 5.8" wide. The walking arab man measures 12.9" tall, 8" front, and 5.2" wide. This collection was purchased from Christies in London 50 years ago.
