Up for sale is a SUPER COOL HISTORIC SELDOM SEEN Pair Of Early Vintage, 1930s, Self Standing “Sandwich board” style display Signs with advertising for “Tarlson” Music Hall, a music / concert venue, which was located in Weirs Beach lake Winnipesaukee New Hampshire . These PHENOMENAL HISTORIC attractive signs would have stood either side of the stage during the performance or used as sidewalk "sandwich" boards to advertised social dances during the height of the Big Band, Jazz and Swing era. They are self standing and feature a stunning Art Deco-style jazz /big band era themed image of musicians playing a violin and drums with a lovely shabby chic patina. Signs come with their original canvas storage bag.

A little back ground; George Tarlson's Orchestra was a popular dance band that performed in the Lakes Region of New Hampshire during the mid-1930s. George Tarlson led an orchestra that was a staple of the social scene in The Weirs, a well-known waterfront area on Lake Winnipesaukee.

Photographic evidence places the group performing at venues in The Weirs around 1936.

Each sign measures 20” x 34”

Condition overall is good, one sign is better preserved than the other, both signs show, slight fading, paint loss and rust, one sign has a red stain. Please see detailed pictures provided for a closer look at condition.
