This is the largest known available-to-purchase and most complete Rexall porcelain storefront sign.
There are 16 total panel pieces.
Numbered 1-16 on the rear of each panel.
Numbering appears to have been written into paint before porcelain firing during production.The sign is designed in a vibrant orange, blue, and white color scheme.
Paint on panels are still in great shape, shiny and glossy.
There are some chips and rusted small areas around edges. ( shown in photos)
There is one panel which has a rusty corner. ( shown in photos)
Two panels have small bends at top of sign. ( shown in photos)
There are a three panels that have some water stains that may be removed with a good cleaning. ( shown in photos)The Rexall sign is from the San Antonio,Texas area from the 1940’s.
‘Sommers’ was the drugstore franchise under the Rexall brand located in San Antonio,Texas with many locations.
I am not sure which location the sign was originally from.16 panels total the entire collection.
15 pieces are 46” x 46” x 1” and 1 panel measures 46” x 30” x 1”.
The total length of the porcelain sign when all panels are lined up is 60 ft long.15 panels weigh 40 lbs. each.
The 30” wide, single panel weighs 25 lbs.
