My name is Dave Zurick. I have been on for 24 years, only the last 5 as a seller. Starting on 1/1/22 I will not be selling on due to the new 1099K IRS tax rules. Small sellers like me were able to sell $20,000 & 200 items a year and now it's $600. You will be taxed on anything over $600 for 2022 which you will get in January 2023. This is going to be a big surprise to most since this law has been kept quiet. The government seems to think that everyone who sells over $600 is a business. I am not a business, I collected for 30 years and now I sell a little to supplement my retirement income. I do not have a tax number meaning I paid tax on what I bought. This also means that I am not a business and tens of millions more who sell small amounts of items will have to file this new form come 2023. If you have receipts to prove you took a loss you will be fine. I have no receipts from yard sales, sales, shows, estate sales etc. I don't blame or Paypal or any other online platform that collects money from merchandise sales. It's the government that has revised these new rules. You will be fine if you can sell via Paypal Family & Friends, a check, money order or cash just like the old days. Those businesses that sell a lot and have a tax number nothing will change. If I had a tax number I would certainly agree with what they are doing but, I never have had one which means I am no business. If you do get a 1099K the government considers you a business. I can't agree to that. I don't know anyone that can survive on $600 a year or even $20,000 a year if that is your only means of support. I am now selling direct or via Craigslist, Facebook Marketplace and Icollect247.com under ID: Great Garloo Toys Mishmash & Hodgepodge. If the government comes to it's senses and revises this unfair law It would be a very good thing to those small potato sellers like me. PICK UP ONLY IN EAST WINDSOR NJ . Here is a one of a kind non existent Prof. Ludwig Von Drake Wonderful World of Disney TV show hat display with 25 hats that have never been used. Large 11.25x20.5x21" tall illustrated slipcase style box contains store display of 25 formed felt hats with vinyl dimensional bills w/built-in squeakers and google eyes. Benay Albee, ©1961 Walt Disney Productions (Ludwig Von Drake first appeared in Sept., 1961). Box lid served as display base when removed and separate illustrated header card features full body image of Ludwig w/"Walt Disney's Prof. Ludwig Von Drake - Star Of The Wonderful World Of Color - Fun Character Hats" text. Header also notes original price - $1.29 apiece. Front of die-cut display features portraits of Ludwig, Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck and one of the puppies from "101 Dalmatians," indicating other similar hats were produced for these characters by Benay Albee. Both box and lid have moderate moisture staining along bottom left as well as up entire length of back left corner, 5-6" up front left corner and across top left/right edges of lid. Die-cut front of display has some wear and header card has 6.5" crease at upper right. VG/Fine overall. Hats come in four colors - purple (12), white (4) turquoise (2) and orange (7). Bill labels read "Press Me Here - Prof. Ludwig Von Drake Presenting Walt Disney's Wonderful World Of Color" w/copyright. Insides of hats have stamped text w/Ludwig's name. All squeakers function. One label has light fade. A few hats are slightly misshapen as stored. One is missing single felt eyebrow. Those with very minor issues are Fine/VF. Rest are Exc./NM. Great display. Truly one of a kind. Maybe the only one left in existence. Gotten from the Gary Keller Collection years ago. Please check out my other vintage toys and items.
