Quality Oil Paintings on Moon DialI commissioned the world renowned San Francisco artist Paul Van de Pol to oil paint the moon dial in 1982. I commissioned Mr. Paul De Pal of Paris, France to custom oil paint two beautiful scenes for me onto the moon dial face. One is of Pairs, and the other is of a rural country setting. Some of Mr. DePal's work has been on exhibit at the Waldorf Astoria of New York and other countries around the world. I have correspondence from Mr. Van de Pol confirming this work.
Herschede Engraver:Mr. George Drinkuth was the Herschede Clock Company engraver of the 14k gold plated clock face who provided written correspondence (12/15/1974) certifying that he personally engraved our clock face at age 89 years old (see photo).
I have correspondence from both Mr. Paul DePal and Mr. George Drinkuth concerning their association with this iconic clock. As you can appreciate, this is truly an heirloom quality clock.
Important Consideration: The entire clock movement was completely restored with new bushings, sonic cleaned, oiled and adjusted by a highly qualified expert clock restoration technician in 2015. This restoration is a very important consideration when purchasing vintage clocks. This cleaning and bushing replacement is very expensive when performed by a qualified clock technician. I have documentation confirming the movement restoration. This movement is now probably good for another 40+ years before bushing will need replacement.
TheSolid Cherry Case with Pecan Burl accentscabinet and movement is in "like new" condition. No apparent scratches. discoloration of brass weights, etc.
