A wonderful early NW coast mask found in a collection of Tlingit items in the state of Washington. It has an articulated mouth with "hair on" deer hide under it's chin and is made of red cedar. UNDERNEATH, THERE IS A HOLE THAT SUGGESTS IT WAS HELD UP ON A STICK...there is also some glue residue on the inside base which does not appear to have served any function.
