The Aston Martin DB5 is an iconic British luxury grand tourer, designed by the Italian coachbuilder Carrozzeria Touring Superleggera, and best known for its appearance in the 1964 James Bond adventure, Goldfinger.

This lot comprises a bare aluminium 1965 Aston Martin DB5 front end, originally built at Aston Martin’s Newport Pagnell plant under licence for the Milan-based Carrozzeria Touring Superleggera.

Stripped of its paintwork and currently unfinished, the lot is reported to be in good condition overall, with signs of previous repairs. The metalwork under the headlight area has been cut out on both sides, though the seller notes that this could be easily rectified with some patch repair work.

The item could be left as is or refurbished, and would make an eye-catching display piece for a home, garage or business that almost no-one else will have.
