1846 Manuscript Detailing 1776 Psalm Legend of Richard Howe & George Washington:
$1500.00

Believed to have been handwritten in the third person by Darius Wright (1761-1846). He is listed in the Pension Roll of 1835 as having served as a private in the Massachusetts Militia and his wife, Louisa Wright, continued to receive a widow’s pension after his death. The present manuscript was created in July 1846 (70 years after the events described and shortly before Wright’s death), which is fascinating considering the earliest documented resource of the Psalm legend was written by Reverend Dr. Joseph F. Tuttle (1818–1901), the third president of Wabash College, in Our Monthly: A Magazine of Religion and Literature in 1871.
