For sale is an exceptionally rare and very well preserved, early 1970’s official dealer advertising sign.

This sign is quite simply one of the most beautiful examples available and very much a historically important piece.

It was acquired by close family friend in France and has been privately owned since the early 1990’s. It is a great size measuring approximately 42” in height and is beyond impressive when seen in person.

The sign is single sided and was expertly produced in West Germany. It features amazing embossed detail with rich colours which commands your attention. The sign has undergone a careful and considerate restoration to make it as impressive as it looks in the photographs while maintaining as much originality as possible.

The sign was said to have been internally used in its early life which resulted in the condition being significantly better out of the few examples that ever become available. The most important thing to note was that no cracks were present in the main face and that remains the same today.

The aluminium enclosure has been professionally re-painted and the screen face was painstakingly polished in a multi-stage process in order to reduce age related surface marks and to really revive the colours to there best potential.

Unfortunately the original neon lighting was in need of complete replacement and the decision was made to install professional grade LED modules which will provide long term enjoyment and reliable usability.

The sign will work in all regions of the world thanks to the modern, low voltage LED lighting. It currently has a U.K. plug attached but an adapter can be provided for European and USA usage to allow for a simple plug and play operation. The best way for it to be displayed is for it to be mounted to the wall.

Being for the well known and much loved German brand of this era, especially one of this style, they are literally impossible to come by.

I am willing to ship this special item worldwide and I will ensure it is safely packaged. A fully bespoke shipping crate will be supplied and ordered once sold (approximately 10 days turnaround time).

This nostalgic and atmospheric piece is very striking and would be perfectly suited for an enthusiast to have on display. It has been privately owned and enjoyed but now the time has come for a new home to be found. I will ensure the sign is safely packaged for its journey to its new owner.
