This extraordinary Japanese Ichimatsu doll (市松人形) is a museum-level, artist-signed piece from a high-profile estate in Diamond Head, Honolulu. The late matriarch of the household, a Japanese woman in her 90s, was a serious cultural collector with multiple dolls of historical and ceremonial value.

This doll was acquired from her family’s private collection and features:
