A rare and exquisitely crafted Antique Mamluk Mamluke Islamic hanging oil lantern, originating from the early 19th century ( year 1830 to 1850 ). This magnificent hexagonal pendant light fixture is an exceptional example of Islamic metalwork, reminiscent of the Mamluk perioddesign, known for its intricate arabesque patterns, calligraphy, and pierced brass craftsmanship.

This large museum-quality piece features:

Hexagonal form with six tapering panels, each richly engraved and finely pierced with geometric and floral motifs.
Arabic calligraphy in beautiful Thuluth script, including Islamic inscriptions such as the Shahada (لا إله إلا الله محمد رسول الله) — “There is no god but Allah, and Muhammad is His Messenger.”
Central medallions on each panel with stylized Qur'anic inscriptions and decorative foliate patterns.
Crowned with a detailed domed finial, with incised bands and a pierced crown.
Lower edge fitted with 19 individually suspended glass oil reservoirs, likely used originally to hold oil lamps now adapted for electric lighting ( you can remove the wiring easily if you still to keep it oil and wix.
Metal body is copper and brass, with aged patina showing traces of original fire-gilding (gold overlay), especially visible in light reflection.
Delicate hand-pierced detailing allows light to filter through beautifully when illuminated.
