Charles VI. (1685-1740) - Document signed

Holy Roman Emperor and ruler of the Austrian Habsburg Monarchy from 1711until his death, succeeding his elder brother, Joseph I. He unsuccessfullyclaimed the throne of Spain following the death of his relative, Charles II. In1708, he married Elisabeth Christine of Brunswick-Wolfenbüttel, by whom he hadhis four children: Leopold Johann (who died in infancy), Maria Theresa (thelast direct Habsburg sovereign), Maria Anna (Governess of the Austrian Netherlands),and Maria Amalia (who also died in infancy).

Part of a document signed “CarlVI.” 1p., 7.5 x 11.25 inch, Vienna, 1719 October 11. In German, parts: “…bey Uns vorkommende Beschwärde deren Städte- und Märckt verursacht wurden/ einanders Remedium vor Hand zunehmen…”. Countersignedby the Court Chancellor Ludwig Wenzel von Sinzendorf (1671-1742). Slightlyuneven trimmed, else good condition.
