I have for sale a vintage Christofle silverplated ice bucket. It is in the Atlas pattern and has the C.G.T. French Line marking on the front. A very rare ice bucket that would have been used in the First Class compartments of the S. S. Normandie.
Made in France Date: 1930's (Approx.) C.G.T. (Compagnie Generale Transatlantique)
There are some scratches, and small ding at the bottom, which can be seen in the (9th) photo above. Overall, it is in good original condition. I did clean most of the tarnish, but there is a little left, and may need a little more polishing. I've provided nearly (3) dozen enlarged photos below to give you a better view. A really cool and ultra rare piece of history. I believe there should be a lid to this style, with an open hole for the neck of the bottle, but I do not have it.
