Q. I don't know the cause of a gas leak. What should I do if there is a leak?

A. The cause of gas leakage is deterioration of the packing of the gas tank or gas inlet inside the lighter.

The packing is a consumable item and will eventually deteriorate.

If you hear a sizzling sound, gas is leaking.

We recommend that you have it repaired as soon as possible.

Q. I left my lighter unused and recently decided to use it, so I filled it with gas, but it did not ignite at all. Can you repair it?

A. Of course, repair is possible.

If a lighter is left with gas in it, the packing that regulates the flow of gas will age, and gas will no longer flow out.

O-rings can also deteriorate and cause gas leaks.

When storing a gas lighter for a long period of time, vent it before storing it. For flint lighters, do not forget to remove the ignition stone as well.

The igniter stone in a lighter will weather due to moisture and become powdery, causing it to clog.
