rare Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Bailey Circus 1946 MERLE EVANS signed Letter & Photo to Musician, Mr. Tony Zavanella. Merle spent half a century and 22,000 performances with Ringling. The letter is typed on Cranes Post paper and mentions salary to Tony, mention he will sleep alone, needs measurements for uniform, cap, shirt, trousers, coat and shoes. Return address is to Merle Evans, Ringling Bros and Barnum & Bailey, Combined Shows Inc., General Offices and Winter Quarters, Sarasota, Florida. These four pieces were just rescued by me as they were inside an old frame. The frame was not worth keeping. The photo was given to Tony at a different time period and was not sent to him with the letter.
