Hello. You are looking at a lot of Aliens books that I have never seen listed together. They needed to be together. So I put them... together. Aliens 1-6. All first prints. Of course. I do have later prints of these, but they will be listed separately. So #1 is the first appearance of everyone in a comic. Incredible cover & interior art by Mark A. Nelson. Gripping story by Mark Verheiden. Two Marks? Did they just have a glut of Marks at Dark Horse in 1988? Eh. It worked out. For all of us. If you are a fan of Aliens and these early original books, you know how hard it is to get them back in a 9.8. The covers are gorgeous, but black is notorious for having cracks in the spine. In my experience, #2 is even harder than #1to receive in a 9.8. This will actually be the 4th copy of #1 first print 9.8 that I've sold one here in the last 5 years. The first one went to $1,000. That was the going rate back then. The 2nd went for $2,000. That was setting the benchmark. I listed the 3rd one 6 weeks later for $2,500. The same guy from Cali snatched it up immediately. He e-mailed he had been hoping I had another one to list. He was very happy. Maybe he'll see this lot too. There are 3 other books in this lot. They are Dark Horse Presents #24 in a 9.8. The crisp cover features an Alien Queen for the first time. It also tells the Aliens origin. Published 11/1988. Between Aliens #2 & #3. The last two are perfect bookends for this unique collection. David Anthony Kraft's Comic Interview #68. Aliens. Published in 1989. The last is Aliens Mini-Comic #1. Published in 02/1989. Between Aliens #3 & #4. They are bothamazing additions to any Aliens collection. They did come back in 8.5 though. They are NOT the main focus of this listing. They're just a couple of cool add ons from the same artist and time frame. If you've looked at my other listings, you may have noticed that I charge for shipping. Yup. Always have, always will. Until now. This 9 book lot will be given free shipping and I will add full insurance to them. I'm not taking any chances with this lot of fine art. These HTF books, especially in this grade are only going to continue to go up. There is a mantra I've lived my collecting life by. TRAP. T.R.A.P. It's a trap! Thank you Admiral Ackbar. No. Not that. Terminator. Robo-Cop. Aliens & Predator. All of these properties were first movies and now their first comic appearances are worth a King's ransom. Have you noticed that there is always one of them coming out with a new movie? A TV series? A re-boot? Yup. Alien: Earth anyone? Good show. Constant creation leads to constant interest in the original source material. Hence, the value of the comics go up. I don't have to list these. I'm happy to keep them and display them with my A vs. P action figures. I just have to keep telling myself I'm not a collector anymore. I'm a seller. Maybe one day I'll believe it. Heh. There are no returns with my CGC lots. Why would there ever be? You know exactly what you're getting from a 3rd party grading company. The premiere grading company. CGC. Look up any and all the certification numbers on their site. They are all legit. I will wrap using so much bubble wrap that you will be annoyed. Why did he use so much? Why? Because... Post Office?
