Alexander Graham Bell [1847 1922] was a Scottish born scientist, inventor, engineer and innovator who is created with patenting the first practical telephone and founding the American Telephone and Telegraph Company [AT&T] in 1885. Listed for sale is a stunning display which contains the authenticated autograph of Alexander Graham Bell signed on a page. The autograph is signed ''I send my autograph attached to this note Alexander Graham Bell'' in black fountain pen. The page contains the recipient's name and the date of request January 20, 1909, which is all behind the mat. The page measures 4.25 x 2.50 inches and is in fine condition. The autograph has been authenticated by JSA James Spence Authentication and will be accompanied with the above Letter of Authenticity. The display is centered around a wonderful, colorized photograph of Bell making his historic first telephone call on March 10, 1876. The call was made from New York to Bell's assistant Thomas Watson in Chicago. Alexander Graham Bell's historic first words were ''Mr. Watson--come here--I want to see you''. Mounted below the autograph is a professionally engraved metal plaque which contains a quote from Graham and reads as follows, Alexander Graham Bell March 3, 1947 - August 2, 1922. Scientists, Inventor, Engineer, & patenting the first practical telephone. ''Mr. Watson Come here - I want to see you''. The display is stunning and has been professionally assembled in acid free materials as follows, each item within the display has been double matted in a black suede outer matte and accented with a gold inner matte. The display has been completed with a quality ornate gold wood frame to the dimensions of 19.00 x 13.00 inches.
