A pair of French two-armed candelabras in gilt bronze with a patina and Japonisme finish, manufactured by Christofle & Cie Paris, designed by Emile Alphonse Reiber, with serial numbers 845927-845929 located on the bottom, circa 1870. Each features a central vase-shaped body that mimics the intricate geometric patterns and engravings of Oriental bronzes (such as seigaiha geometric motifs or textile patterns).
It features richly crafted gilt bronze handles and upper finials inspired by mythological Asian fauna or traditional chimeras.
