A charming pair of "Arco" (bow) lamps in Murano blown glass and brass, made in Italy in the 1940s and traceable in style and materials to the historic Barovier & Toso company, founded in 1295 in Venice. The two lamps share the same base but slightly different lampshades.
The highlight of these lamps is the splendid heavy, clear glass shade, shaped in ribs with a wavy edge that evokes the delicate shape of a flower. The light diffuses through the glass, creating magnificent reflections.
The base, also made of ribbed glass, echoes the style of the lampshade. The supporting structure is an elegant curved glass stem that supports the lampshade and is hollow to allow for the passage of the electrical cord. The entire piece is enhanced by antique brass connectors and a galalith plug. The two lamp holders are still the original antique brass ones.

Le due lampade presentano la stessa base ma paralumi leggermente diversi.
Il pezzo forte di queste lampade è lo splendido paralume in vetro trasparente pesante, modellato a coste con un bordo ondulato che richiama la forma delicata di un fiore. La luce si diffonde attraverso il vetro creando riflessi magnifici.
La base, anch'essa in vetro lavorato a coste, riprende lo stile del paralume. La struttura portante è un elegante stelo curvo in vetro che sostiene il paralume ed essendo cavo permmette il passaggio del filo elettrico. Arrichiscono il tutto gli elementi di raccordo in ottone antico e le spina in galalite. I due porta lampada sono ancora quelli originali in ottone antico.
Un raro ed elegante esempio di artigianato Art Déco italiano che illuminerà le vostre giornate con un tocco di romantica eleganza d'altri tempi! Adatte ad ogni tipo di ambiente, in particolar modo in camera da letto, sul comodino.
