This 75 lb petrified log is a unique piece of history from what is now North Dakota / Manitoba.. Multi-colored beauty with onyx style bands of black/blue, white, reddish/orange and rusty brown . Also visible are some unique wavy white lines. Beautiful wood-grain and many knots clearly visible. Also an area that has diagonal cuts - not verified, but could be from animal activity ??
I found this over 60 years ago and have included pictures of a fossilized leaf that was found in the same area- note the same beautiful colors. Also included is a wonderful piece that perfectly preserves the shape and luster of Mollusks - these are not for sale - just to show the bounty found in this area..
