Somenishiki Platinum-Aya is Fujii Nishiki\'s unique technique of coloring white porcelain fired at 1300 degrees with platinum and then firing platinum at 800 degrees. Each time you use one color of paint, it is fired once, then fired 6 to 10 times, and finally the platinum is fired. Platinum baked on the front expresses subtle shading on the surface. The luster of platinum changes depending on the angle of light and the viewing angle, and it continues to shine.
