Ferrari Testa Rossa Lamp - Signed by Dan Gurney

This is a very unique item that I purchased several years from an avid collector. He actually made 3 lamps total, each using a Ferrari V-12 camshaft. This lamp is 2 of 3 and is the only one of the three utilizing a Ferrari brake drum. He claimed that the brake drum was off the Ferrari Testa Rossa, driven by Dan Gurney, that crashed & burnedin the 1958 Le Mans (see photo). It is probably impossible to trully authenticate, but these types of drums were used on the Ferrari that crashed (look at rear drums in photo), and the drum itself appears to have been melted (maybe the flames from the crash). In addition, Dan Gurney did sign this particular brake drum and probably has never signed another.

Lamp Shade - The shade is made out of aluminumwith a Ferrari decal depicting the period is attached. There is a scratch here and there on the shade, but is still very presentable as-is

Lamp Pole - The lamp pole is from a Ferrari V-12 cam shaft with electrical wiring routed within.

Lamp Base - Made from the Ferrari "finned" brake drum which is mounted to a round piece of black plastic.

Electrical - Switch is on the cord & 2x 40w bulbs are used for the lights (120 VAC)

Again this is a very unique item for a very an avid collector who wants a conversation piece...
