Julius Hanks was son to Benjamin Hanks who cast his first large bell in 1791 .That's one year before Paul Revere tried to cast a large bell . Julius, one of Benjamin's sons took over the responsibility of his dad's foundry upon his father's death in 1824 .Interesting note is that Andrew Meneely in 1818 at the age of 15 became one of Julius apprentices.Then Mr Meneely took over the foundry in 1825 . contact to get shipping cost
