This is a stunning quality and veryattractivelate 18th-century George III Period Marquetry and Parquetry inlaid8-Day Oak and MahoganyLongcase Clock.

Theall-original andimmaculately presented timepiece has a wonderful open swan-neckpediment with 2 roundels with a large rising brassfinial in the centre.

The quality circular clock face is surrounded byhand-painted English landscape and seascape scenes, the dial of which has 2 sub-dials and elegantlargebrassclockhands.

The whole presents in its originalOak andMahogany Parquetryand Marquetry inlaidclock case, which is embellished with fabulous cross banding, stringing, and other wonderful inlays.

The piece is currently running fine and it has a wonderful bell ring when it strikes on the hour.
