Print analysis:
ACME Newspictures was an American press agency that supplied wire photos to newspapers in the 1930s and 1940s. The dated caption slug "5/1/46" and New York Bureau reference indicate this is a contemporaneous press print distributed shortly after the image was taken. The paper surface appears glossy fiber based photographic paper rather than halftone, with no postcard back, consistent with a darkroom print. Given the 1946 date and typical press workflows, this is best classified as a Type 1 original press photo, printed within a few months of exposure.

Condition: Photo is in fair to good vintage condition. May have some rough edges, rounded corners, creases, age coloring, etc from age related wear. Please see images for exact details.
