An English Magician, Charles Bertram(1853-1907)was a favorite with Royalty, especially King Edward VII. Bertram travelled all over the world, and wrote a book about his adventures. Although Bertram is mentioned in a number of books, this is the first book completely devoted to Charles Bertram. The book contains a number of photographs of Bertram, as well as various advertising ephemera. Also a bibliography and anthology, and various listings of his magic memorabilia.
Condition: Very Fine Oversize Hardcover with unclipped Very Fine dust jacket, which has been covered with a Brodart jacket. Lovely glossy color plates at the front. Very clean inside, no marks. Tight binding. 360 numbered pages.
