Born in 1942, Mitchell Blackhorse is a true artist in Navajo pottery. This one-of-a-kind handmade vase features a desert tortoise and the expected traditional Navajo design. What is unexpected is the addition of a line etched/carved texture as background and beautiful light-to-dark bands of color encircling the vase. I especially love the dark blue-green in the middle. It also has an unusual scalloped edge.
In excellent condition, this vase is medium-sized and measures about 6 inches tall and about 4 inches at its widest. Please review photos and ask questions.
