New to market from an old, private estate collection is an early 1900s Edwardian era Flat Top Fountain Pen of exquisite beauty.
Entirely hand-crafted, its rare design & quality adds a unique, luxurious touch to this early item; a rare collectible piece for pen enthusiasts. Likely created in the U.S.A.

With it's 14K gold nib & generously wide chased gold banding, this fountain pen exudes both elegance & functionality, making it a fine addition to any collection of rare & exquisite writing instruments.
DETAILS:
Product Type:Maker, exact year unknown. Pen resembles two similar chased pens we were able to locate online after a long search; both dated from 1900-1910, i.e., Boston, Waserman.▪ Gold Filigree Chased Barrel Overlay - no hallmarks to indicate the *gold content.▪ NIB - "Warranted 14K #4" - see pics; no loss or abuse noted. Looks very good.Pen is untestedCondition Detail Observed:Exterior hard black pen has no fading, capping or scratching. Only the slightest superficial scratches can be observed inside cap area & underside of nib by angling pen in bright light, rotating this portion of the uncapped pen, in order to locate (likely due to cover being rotated off/on)otherwise, a nice solid black coloration. Cap fits snugly, fitting very well over that section & posts securely. No imprints.
See all detailed photos, including the intricate gold banding. Gold was given a lite cursory polish w/non-abrasive cream. On loop exam, a miniscule residual dark reddish-brwn spot remains on outer banding area. A few tiny dot inclusions exist within the centered oval, monogram free area.
▶️Richness of the near 2" wide gold barrel color & polished, shiny finish are beautifully consistent throughout entire banding; camera has distorted some pics where it appears silver also exists; pls disregard.
