Your Excellency,
Your friendly words have deeply touched me, and I express my heartfelt thanks. At my age, one grows old and weak; yet your kind remembrance shows that there are still some faithful souls who have not forgotten me.
It feels good to know that there are still those who appreciate the efforts and sacrifices one has made for the Fatherland. Our people are currently finding it difficult to regain confidence and strength after the disastrous collapse of the great empire.
I sincerely thank you for your words of recognition regarding my modest contribution in the past. With my best wishes and highest regards,
Yours most devoted,Conrad von Hötzendorf

(1852-1925) Franz Xaver Josef Conrad von Hötzendorf, sometimes anglicised as Hoetzendorf, was an Austrian general who played a central role in World War I. He served as K.u.k. Feldmarschall (field marshal) and Chief of the General Staff of the military of the Austro-Hungarian Army and Navy from 1906 to 1917. He was in charge during the July Crisis of 1914 that caused World War I.
Franz Conrad von Hötzendorf was one of the most influential military figures of the Austro-Hungarian Empire in the early 20th century. As Chief of the General Staff, he wielded immense power in shaping war-plans leading into WWI. His doctrine of offensive warfare and imperial expansion reflected the mindset of the Habsburg military elite—but his execution met with significant failure and heavy casualties. Today he remains a controversial figure: ambitious and energetic, perhaps visionary in his scope, yet criticized for flawed strategic judgment and the human cost of his campaigns.
Comes with a full Letter of Authenticity from Todd Mueller Authentics.
