The vintage brass cannon built by the late Boris Guynes, famous master fabricator / modeler / racer / vintage motorcycle fabricator, who also built the remote control submarines for the movie ‘Das Bot’, or ‘The Boat’ as well as many live steam powered remote control boats.

I am his son and this cannon has been in the family its entire life. I sewed the gun powder bags and did some of the staining and patina work. I’m happy to take requested photos or send you a video or answer any questions.

Measurements: Overall length 33”, wheel height/diameter 12”, goal width 18”, barrel length 19”, barrel bore 1 1/8”, weight 36.9 pounds, starboard pivot stamped with Boris W. Guynes and Son and the port side pivot is stamped with 1746. Cannon breach is stamped with San Mateo, California. Cannon barrel is removable with operational hinged shackles with safety pins.

Built in 1984 this is number 4 of 6 built, number 3 was built for the dictator Ferdinand Marcos. The only other one that I know history was number 2, which was destroyed in a house fire in Canada in 1987. This is the only cannon that he kept in the family and the only one I have ever seen on offer.
