Rare ninth plate in half case imprinted on back "GRISWOLD'S PATENT FERROTYPE PLATE" also known as a tintype. Early plate by Quinby in Charleston in early 1861. There were a series of views from this session at his studio mostly CDVs. This is the only ferrotype (tintype) I've seen.
