Montblanc already launched the beutiful MB Writers Edition Homage to Victor Hugo Limited Edition 83 (skeleton) and it is about to launch the 2021 Writers Edition Sir Arthur Conan Doyle Limited Edition 97 (skeleton, again).Limited to 70 pieces (in honourof his age when he died), Montblanc Writers Edition Limited Edition 70 payshomage to the writer’slife and accomplishments.Lacquered cap andbarrel in red are inspired by the jeweled ankus the human child Mowgli finds inthe jungle in The Jungle Book.Partially rhodium-coated Au750 solid goldoverlay depicts bamboo shoots in the jungle with 3-dimensional monkeys climbingaround the cap.The eyes of the wolf and the monkeys are set withdiamonds, while the clip is also embellished with a sparkling diamond. Thehandcrafted Au 750 champagne-tone gold nib is engraved with an elephant head. Afurther token of his beloved Indian landscape can be found in the bambooengraving on the Au 750 solid champagne-tone gold forepart. The Kipling LE70 isartfully engraved on the clip with two buildings from the city of Chittorgarh ,which Kipling visited during his travels. They symbolize both the deserted«Cold Lairs» in the Jungle Book volumes and the variety of Indianbuildings. The cap top is crowned with the Montblanc emblem in mother-of-pearl.
