George Washington Wilson (February 7, 1823 - March 9, 1893) was a pioneering Scottish photographer. In 1849 he began a career as a portrait miniaturist and in 1852 switched to portrait photography. He was commissioned to photograph the royal family who worked for Queen Victoria and Prince Albert. He pioneered various techniques for outdoor photography and the mass production of photo prints when he gradually began to focus primarily on landscape photography in the 1860s.

Februar 1823 - 9. März 1893) [1] war ein wegweisender schottischer Fotograf. [2] 1849 begann er eine Karriere als Porträtminiaturist und wechselte 1852 zur Porträtfotografie. Er erhielt einen Auftrag zum Fotografieren der königlichen Familie, die für Königin Victoria und Prinz Albert arbeitete. Er war Pionier verschiedener Techniken für die Außenfotografie und die Massenproduktion von Fotodrucken, als er in den 1860er Jahren allmählich anfing, hauptsächlich Landschaftsfotografie zu betreiben.Zahlung:
