This spectacular Mythological inspired gilt bronze mantel clock in the exquisite Rococo style, was expertly crafted by a French bronzeur .

The Bronze features VENUS , RISING from the sea in a shell. ( Venus Anadyomene) , Two large & Two small MERMEN & angelic MERBOYS with curled rococo tails , Two WINGED PEGASUS , Two DOLPHINS , Designed in the extravagant Louis XV style, the timepiece is a tour-de-force of the Rococo manner. Sweeping scrolls and acanthus abound about the clock , with a scale like design on the back , and much fantastic detail , crowned by a majestic Venus , Rising from the sea The quality and aesthetics of this clock make it an incredible acquisition for collectors of both clocks and sculpture.
