Japanese War Treasure!!!
It is a teak wood, 4-panel byobu. It is a rich, rustic red and brown, highlighting a hand-carved scene of a battle on horseback in front of a shogunate's tower. Five men with sword and shield attack a lone rider with lance. A war boat lands on the shore next to a town. Some sort of official, perhaps the shogun himself, watches from across a river while men with Flags surround him. Bonzai trees grow throughout the scene.
Perhaps this is a story of a previous invasion?
It is gorgeous, it is dense, and it is worth at least 16,000 dollars to me, and it should be to you as well.
So that's what I'm asking for.
