THE 1905 ANSONIA APEX, ARGUABLY THE TOP OF THE LINE FOR THE ANSONIA CLOCK COMPANY. THIS ONE IS AS NEAR MUSEUM QUALITY AS YOU WILL EVER SEE.The Ansonia Earl, an American Mantel clock produced in 1914 and featured in Tran Du Ly’s Ansonia clock catalog of 1914-15, is possibly the rarest Ansonia Crystal Regulator American Mantel Clock of today.Furthermore, when new, this clock sold for almost double the price of the bottom-of-the-line Ansonia Crystal Regulators. The mechanism was just serviced, cleaned and oiled.

The face of this vintage beauty has Arabic numeral markers on a white porcelain dial. This is a stunning-looking antique shelf clock with an enameled Roman numeral dial. This is a three-piece American mantel clock with urns.But I do not know of another in existence beyond my own. It is gilt brass, porcelain, and crystal. It is an 8-day time and strike movement. The dimensions are 13 x 7 x 6 in.

This is the first one that I have seen that possesses the urns. It comes from the collection of William (Bill) DeVore, a prominent clock collector from North Carolina. The Body is gilded brass, porcelain, and hand-cut crystal urns. The dial is painted porcelain, and the pendulum insert is plastic. The time and strike are 8 days.
