Up for sale is an absolutely gorgeous early 1900s which would appear to be hand painted; Columbia Records Music sign from the Grinnell Sign and Poster Company.

The Grinnell Sign and poster company is notably known for the 1939 NY Worlds Fair posters and painted canvas signs.

This item is originally from a record shop located in Rochester NY and was purchased by our brick and mortar record shop in 1983. This has hung on our walls ever since and now for the first time ever being offered for sale.

This is a unbelievably rare piece that spans music lovers and early advertising into one.

The material is cloth much like early circus banners. There has not been another one even close to it found and not nearly this size. The size is roughly 4.5 ft x 2.5 feet tall and across. Exact measurements can be provided if asked.

The item seems to be hand painted and never touched up. It has been hanging in our store and has some dust on it but we did not even tried to clean it ever. There’s some tears and wear and you can see but to find an item long meant to he destroyed in this condition is unbelievable.

This truly is a museum piece.
