A beautifully constructed "Arts and Crafts" style lamp from the historic Moe Bridges Co. The pictures don't do the hand-painted shade justice. It is simply stunning. It's a shame we don't put quality materials and artistry together as much in this century. A relic of a time passed, where care and craftsmanship were valued in companies and their products. There is something both masculine and feminine in this lamp, with a sturdy brass base and the delicate strokes of the idyllic birds resting upon a branch, surrounded by flowers and butterflies. How fully gorgeous. I have pictured one crack that has been successfully and sturdily held together with a light application of glue for years. This lamp has only had one previous owner. I have also pictured the "Moe Bridges" signature along the rim of the shade, a true mark of its maker. The light and wiring work, along with its original plug.
A lovely addition to a home office or an adornment to any living or sitting room. Guaranteed to be eye-catching and a conversation piece for any home or place.
