Isn’t this pitcher SO cool!?! This type of glassware may be referred to as a "ewer" or "jug" and is typically characterized by a distinctive, often asymmetrical, shape and an applied handle.

This beautiful pitcher is made of hand-blown glass, indicated by its unique shape and the presence of a pontil mark on the bottom. The tiny bubbles in the glass sparkle in the sunlight. It’s also got some heft to it! It weighs just over 4lbs.

The deep rich color is avocado or maybe olive green.

Similar items are often attributed to mid-century Italian designers but I couldn’t find a definitive answer to who made it. Could it be Blenko? If you have thoughts on that please message me.
