This is a very rare Navajo Corn Yei. All the background is woven from naturally black wool from the belly stripe of of the male sheep so it took a lot of shearing to get enough for one of these. If you look closely you can see the slight color irregularities in the black wool. Woven circa 1920's, I've only heard of one other and that's in a museum somewhere. Size is approximately 48" X 71" but is slightly irregular. Has a couple small frayed spots along the edges but overall in excellent condition for a 100+ year old weaving. Includes 3 books on Navajo weaving. Price includes shipping and insurance in the CONUS. Outside USA shipping will be actual from zip code 73505. Ignore shipping rates.
