Genuine vintage Swiss cow bell purchased by me in Switzerland during the 1990s and retained in my personal collection ever since.

This is a substantial and beautifully decorated example featuring a black leather collar adorned with traditional Swiss alpine motifs, decorative brass mounts, colorful fringe, and a Swiss cross at the yoke. The bell itself displays an attractive aged patina acquired naturally over time and presents beautifully.

What immediately distinguishes this bell is its remarkable sound. Unlike many decorative Swiss bells that produce a short or muted tone, this example delivers a rich, resonant ring that continues long after it is struck. Because sound is such an important part of this bell's appeal, I have included a video in the listing so you can hear its impressive tone for yourself.

The maker is unknown. While some collectors seek examples from Appenzeller and other Swiss makers, I have found no maker's mark on this example and therefore make no attribution.
