An exceptionally rare pair of original campaign armbands produced for thecirca 1902 congressional campaign of Prince Jonah Kūhiō Kalanianaʻoleunder Hawaii’s Home Rule Party. Worn by campaign supporters, these surviving armbands represent an outstanding piece of early Hawaiian political history and are seldom encountered on the market.

Prince Jonah Kūhiō Kalanianaʻole was elected as Hawaii’s delegate to the United States Congress in 1902 and served continuously fromMarch 4, 1903, until his death in1922, winning ten consecutive elections. Today, authentic campaign memorabilia associated with Prince Kūhiō is highly sought after by collectors of Hawaiian history, political memorabilia, and Americana.
