Very rare and the ultimate Boy Scouts Merit Badge that was flown aboard the Space Shuttle Discovery (STS 51-D). Also a space flown mission crew patch. This makes this presentation even more special.

Only 25 Boy Scouts of America Space Exploration Merit Badges were flown aboard this fight.

These patches were presented to McDonnel Douglas Corporation. Sanford N. McDonnel was a big supporter of the Boy Scouts.
