Astronaut Edgar Mitchell demonstrates the Olympic sport of javelin on the Moon during Apollo 14, the only known performance of an Olympic track-and-field event on another world. The first photograph is a vintage first generation crew photograph of the Apollo 14 flight crew SIGNED by the javelin thrower himself, Edgar Mitchell. Photo has the vintage NASA typewriter font on the top left of the picture and is printed on A KODAK PAPER . The black and white photo is a Vintage TV photo with the NASA purple descriptive stamp on the reverse on paper backing and captures astronaut Edgar Mitchell throwing a javelin in front of a TV audience. It also has the pre 1974 typewriter font on the front. For context, and as a NASA vintage photography collector over many years, this is the ONLY one I have ever seen and I would consider it EXTREMELY rare!
