ULTRA RARE Unmarked Wagner #6, HEAT RING Skillet, c.1920s, RESTORED Cast Iron:
$179.00
Wagner unmarked #6 cast iron skillet with heat ring. In flawless vintage condition. Inspect closely for buttered over Stylized Logo and number. No visible chips, cracks, repairs, tooling, or deep scratches/pitting. Does not spin, rock or wobble on a glass surface.
There have been zero unmarked #6 Wagner skillets with heat rings listed and sold on in the preceding 3 years, (unless they were not identified as Wagner), none found on the other sale sites, collector groups, Google searches, Worth Point or any other source. This is your chance to own this rare one-of-a-kind collectible.
Vintage: c1922-1935
Wagner is believed to have introduced the "Stylized logo" (Wagner Ware using the W for both words, and Sidney -O- underneath, indicating the location of the foundry in Sidney, Ohio) in 1922 and continued until the Wagner name was bought out by various other companies around 1959. The heat ring changed over to a smooth bottom around 1935, and both were not being produced concurrently.

Corrections and response are always welcome. I am a cast iron collector, trader, restorer, reseller, trader and amateur historian. I don't copy and paste from Google or from other items. None of my information comes from AI. None of our listings are written by or assisted by AI. (Aren't you tired of browsing listings that say "this piece is compatible with both electric and gas stovetops, making it a versatile addition to any kitchen." ?? Who talks like that!)
UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTED, all cast iron items are stripped using safe, water-soluble methods and electrolysis, and never see metal tools harder than a stainless scrubby or steel wool. This is called Restoration. Not Modification. After cleaning, any number of various oils are used to season the iron at an appropriate temperature multiple times until water resistance is achieved, usually 3-5x.
Why buy dirty unrestored iron at retail prices when you have better options? Why take the risk of not knowing what's under there? And don't be shy to make offers! Just don't compare a handpicked gem, carved and polished in a case, for a dirty rock someone found on a curb! 😆
Everything we sell is painstakingly packed in foam, pool noodles or equivalent, immovable in packaging, and inchES from the ends of the box. We stand behind our packaging and STILL add insurance to each shipment because we still can't vouch for the shipping providers. If there are any issues, contact us immediately.
We encourage bundling multiple items for reduced shipping. There will be close to 750 items slowly listed from this collection, check our other listings for what's been listed, or if you're looking for anything specific, feel free to ask.
Liquidated from the Sam Ciara collection located at Canadian Inn.
WHY A ZERO RETURN POLICY?
-We're buyers too. We get it. And has their Buyer Protection Policy should anything get out of hand. But we stand behind everything we sell. However, we sell VERY used vintage or antique items. Some of these are older than the oldest person in your family. They have had many owners and have scars to prove it. Cast iron specifically is brittle, not malleable, and does not take impact well. While we can minimize the risk with careful packing getting it to you, doubling that risk because of buyer's remorse is not a good enough reason.
-HOWEVER, you are entitled to receive the item you paid for, as described and as pictured. You don't need 's BPP for that. If something major was missed, like cracked or chipped iron, missing parts, etc, please give us the chance to make it right! Communication is key.
-IF your package comes in DAMAGED, TAKE PICTURES of the outside of the box, take pictures as you open the box, and capture any and all images of damages please. These will be used for insurance claims and the shipping service may or may not ask you to send the package back. If it DOESN'T SHOW UP, we can't keep track of every package, just let us know. We can put in a Lost Package Tracker and if it becomes too long, an insurance claim as well. Communication is key.
