Early and rare 1880's fan by Electro-Dynamic Co. This fan been named the "First Electric Fan" to be offered at retail. Utilizing a motor designed for the dental industry, this is the most basic form of a fan and a cornerstone for any fan/motor collection. An original condition motor has been combined with newer production blade replicating the original design as well as the stand, wood base, and switch. Motor operates perfectly on 10 V DC.
